The Packers took the opening kickoff and went 63 yards in 10 plays after Keisean Nixon’s 38-yard kickoff return.
They faced only two third downs and converted both, including a touchdown on third-and-goal. After Josh Jacobs was stopped for no gain from the New Orleans 1, wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks was dropped for a 1-yard loss by Khalen Saunders on a running play.
Wicks, though, caught the 2-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Love on the next play.
Saints safety Ugo Amadi flopped after Wicks hit him at the line, trying to draw an offensive pass interference penalty. It was not a penalty as it was 1-yard within the line of scrimmage, and Wicks was left wide open.
The Packers lead 7-0.
Love went 4-for-4 for 24 yards, and Jacobs rushed for 29 yards on five carries.
