It’s unclear when, or if, John Bowlen will resume his employment with the Broncos. It’s clear when he’ll be back in court.
Via Ryan Glasspiegel of TheBigLead.com, a pretrial conference in Bowlen’s case will occur on Friday, August 14. (As with most items on a court’s docket, this one could get continued.)
The Broncos placed John Bowlen, 29-year-old son of team owner Pat Bowlen, on administrative leave following the June arrest for domestic violence. The Broncos told Glasspiegel that John Bowlen remains on paid leave, and the league office, when asked about John Bowlen’s status, cited the team’s decision to place him on paid leave in June.
John Bowlen faces domestic violence charges from an incident that included a 911 call that included a claim that John Bowlen is “the blood -- the blood -- the blood of the city.”
That may be true, but he also will likely never be the owner -- the owner -- the owner of the Broncos.
