Former Vikings tight end Joe Senser owns the SUV involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Minnesota last week, but he is refusing to speak with the police officers investigating the matter.
“They have answered no questions whatsoever,” State Patrol spokesman Lt. Eric Roeske said of Senser and his family. “We can’t rule anybody out.”
A 38-year-old man was struck and killed by the SUV on August 23, and the next day police recovered the vehicle from Senser’s home. A police report says the front of the car was damaged and “a blood-like substance” was on the hood.
Senser’s attorney told the St. Paul Pioneer Press, “The Senser family recognizes the tragedy in this situation, and they are attempting to cope with that tragedy.”
But coping with the tragedy does not include telling the police who was driving.
