Free agency continues to move forward, with a smattering of signings still happening.

The latest has occurred in Kansas City, where former Chargers safety Jimmy Wilson has joined the Chiefs. Per a league source, Wilson signed a one-year deal.

Last March, Wilson agreed to a two-year, $4.85 million deal with San Diego, but he was cut in December after making six starts. Because Wilson had been cut, the move won’t count toward the compensatory draft pick formula for Kansas City or for San Diego.

Wilson, a seventh-round pick in 2011, spent four years with the Dolphins before departing via free agency.

The former Montana defender has appeared in 73 regular-season games with 27 starts. He has five career interceptions, three sacks, and three forced fumbles.
