Laveranues Coles is a Jet once again.

Coles is set to sign with the Jets today, taking up the roster spot that opened up when safety Jim Leonhard was placed on injured reserve.

This is Coles’ fourth stint with the Jets.

When the Jets released Coles in August, he said, “I think I’m done.” Now he’s back one more time, although it’s possible he could be back just long enough to stay on the roster for Monday night’s game against the Patriots, then announce his retirement with the team that brought him into the NFL.
