Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has been in the news for all the wrong reasons, and now he can’t get on the field to distract anyone from them.
Pierre-Paul was held out of practice today because of back spasms, and coach Tom Coughlin said he wouldn’t play Friday against the Bears.
Pierre-Paul had back issues earlier in camp, and Coughlin said he gave him the day off “to get him off his feet.”
“It’ll end up being precautionary based on what he had to do today by not letting him work,” Coughlin said, via the Newark Star-Ledger. “He would have practiced and played, but the medical people kind of said this would be the best way to go so that we ensure going forward that he’ll be okay.”
Maybe he should just go put some ice on it.
Wonder if there’s anyone who might want to help him with that?
