The Panthers did not emerge from their 31-24 victory over the Seahawks unscathed.

Defensive end Jared Allen suffered a foot injury during the game that could impact his availability for the NFC title game and beyond, should there be a beyond for the Panthers this season.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Allen broke a small bone in his foot during the game and was able to play on it for a portion of the victory. Rapoport reports he’s going to continue to try to play through the injury, although Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer reports that Allen may need surgery that would end his season.

Allen was acquired in a trade with the Bears for a sixth-round pick during the season and had 27 tackles and two sacks in 12 appearances with the Panthers.
