2007 No. 8 overall pick Jamaal Anderson had visits lined up with the Broncos and Titans, but he didn’t wind up signing with either team.
Instead, he’ll land with the Colts, a league source tells Florio.
Indianapolis doesn’t go for big ticket free agent items, but they aren’t opposed to scavenging for value. Anderson has played inside and out as a pro. He could fit the mold of a relatively lightweight Colts interior player.
The move is a sign how the secondary free agent market is closing up quickly. The Broncos picked up Harvey on Monday. The Titans re-signed Jacob Ford. Anderson and other free agents know they better sign sooner than later before all the jobs dry up.
