The Jaguars expect cornerback Jalen Ramsey to be 100 percent recovered from May knee surgery when training camp opens next month and he appears to be well on his way to meeting that goal.

On Friday, the Jags posted a video to Twitter of Ramsey running on the side of a practice field and the first-round pick looks like he’s moving well. There’s no limp or outward sign that he had surgery to trim the meniscus in his right knee recently.

Ramsey’s full return will come at camp, but second-round linebacker Myles Jack is expected to be in action during next week’s minicamp. Jack has not been able to work with the team during OTAs because UCLA has been in session and the league bars rookies from practicing until the semester is over.

“We’ve had opportunities to meet with him under the NFL rules,” coach Gus Bradley said, via the Florida Times-Union. “It will be interesting to see how much he has picked up through those conversations without getting reps.”

Jack will be working at middle linebacker and Bradley said there are no current concerns related to Jack’s knee that will keep him from full participation. Once Ramsey joins him, the Jaguars will have all the parts of what they hope will be a much improved defense ready to go.
