It looks like the Packers are going to be without cornerback Jaire Alexander for another week.
Alexander has not played since November 17 because of a knee injury and he was a limited participant in practice on Thursday. Head coach Matt LaFleur was asked during a Thursday press conference if Alexander had a better chance of playing this week than he did in previous games.
“Probably not,” LaFleur said, via multiple reporters.
The Packers can’t win the NFC North, but Sunday’s game against the Vikings will have great significance to playoff seeding in the conference. Alexander would help them win that game, but having him as healthy as possible for any postseason game likely takes significance over regular season action for the Packers at this point.
Final injury designations for Alexander and any other injured Packers will be released on Friday.
