Jacoby Jones passes conditioning test

Jacoby Jones

After spending part of his offseason working on his dance moves, Jacoby Jones now has his football legs back.

The Ravens wide receiver passed his conditioning test on his second try, and will be activated from the non-football injury list, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.

Players have to complete a series of sprints in a prescribed time, and Jones wasn’t able to do that upon reporting to camp. Coach John Harbaugh said he expected Jones to pass it quickly.

“I would never make any excuses for him,” Harbaugh said. “He should pass it, but he’s battling. We’ll see, it’s up to him. It’s his job to do. That’s the facts. Facts are stubborn things.”

Jones made a number of big plays for the Ravens during the Super Bowl run, but has a chance to make more, with the door open for him to win the No. 2 receiver job. Now that he’s in shape to qualify for practice, those chances improved.
