The Big Show is back.

After musing about a possible unretirement in 2014 to coach the Raiders, former Packers and Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren will dust off his whistle and his collection of curse words to coach one of the two teams in next year’s Southern Bowl in New Zealand.

Former NFL coaches Herm Edwards and Dick Vermeil had agreed in principle to coach the two teams, which will play a pair of games next March 5 and 12. However, they ultimately declined due to scheduling issues. (Vermeil told PFT that he was indeed considering the opportunity.) A second coach could be announced soon.

Tryouts will be conducted this month in five locations throughout the U.S. Although the games initially were reported as having a connection to the NFL, they don’t. Except for Holmgren’s involvement as a coach.
