On Friday night, rookie wide receiver Corey Coleman was the star of the Browns’ intrasquad scrimmage.

Fans in Columbus who were hoping to see an encore on Saturday were disappointed, however. Coleman didn’t take part in Saturday’s workout at Ohio Stadium because of a left hamstring problem. Coach Hue Jackson said Coleman could have been on the field, but that an early August practice wasn’t the time to risk any further problems.

“He’ll be fine,” Jackson said, via Cleveland.com. “He just had a little hamstring issue, and I just didn’t want to push it too far. We’re too close to getting ready for the season.”

Coleman’s absence gave Terrelle Pryor room to take the spotlight at his collegiate stomping grounds and the Browns hope that their discretion on Saturday means Coleman will be in it often during the more meaningful weekends to come.
