Goodell’s wife leaves Fox News

Jane Skinner, the wife of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, announced today on her Fox News Channel show Happening Now that she’s leaving the network.

She indicated that spending more time with her husband and their children was her primary motivation for the move.

“It’s been a thrill to have been a part of the incredible success of this place over the past 12 years,” Skinner said. “However, my life has changed significantly in those 12 years, in wonderful ways that have created new responsibilities. I added a husband who became the NFL Commissioner and has a job even busier than mine, and I have twin daughters who have even busier lives still. So to do justice to this new life I’ve decided to take a break from this business.”

Skinner is a Northwestern graduate who worked in local news in several markets before joining Fox News in 1998.
