The Giants have added a third quarterback to their offseason roster.
The club signed Ricky Stanzi to a reserve/future contract on Wednesday, per the NFL’s personnel notice.
The 27-year-old Stanzi finished the regular season on the Texans’ practice squad. He has also had stints with the Chiefs and Jaguars.
Stanzi (6-4, 228) was a fifth-round pick of Kansas City in 2011. He played collegiately at Iowa.
The Giants carried just two quarterbacks this season: starter Eli Manning and backup Ryan Nassib.
