Earlier this offseason, Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz said that he was close to sealing a deal for a television show based on his life before somewhat confusingly saying that he would “never, ever” be involved with a reality show.
While we wait to find out just what kind of television project Cruz had in mind, we can watch one of the men signing his checks on the tube. ABC announced on Friday that Tisch will be joining the group of panelists on Shark Tank, a program that gives entrepreneurs a chance to pitch their ideas to a group of potential investors. Tisch will be a “guest shark” on the panel, which includes another professional sports team owner in Dallas Mavericks chief Mark Cuban as one of the regulars.
Tisch has plenty of experience in the entertainment realm. Tisch has been producing movies for film and television for more than 30 years and won an Oscar for producing Forrest Gump, which makes him the only person with both an Oscar and a Super Bowl ring.
Perhaps things can come full circle come the fall and Cruz will go on the program to pitch Tisch and the rest of the panel for financing of the long-term contract he’s thus far been unable to get from the Giants.
