Free agent quarterback David Garrard will be at Dolphins headquarters on Monday. According to Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union, Garrard is expected to meet with the St. Louis Rams after that.

St. Louis’ new coaching staff is actively seeking an upgrade on former backup A.J. Feeley. The Rams showed interest in Shaun Hill before he re-signed with the Lions. Garrard appears to be Plan B.

Garrard is 34 years old and was out of football last season while recovering from a serious back operation. He’d still likely be a better option than Feeley, and if 100-percent healthy could put some heat on starter Sam Bradford in training camp. Bradford took a large step back in 2011 after a promising rookie year.
