Free beer at Qwest Field, sort of

Several of you have forwarded to PFT headquarters video of the contents of a large beer at Qwest Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks, comfortably fitting in the cup used for a small beer.

Even though a large costs $1.25 more than a small.

According to KING5.com, the folks who run Qwest Field claim that the small cups are supposed to hold only 16 ounces, but for some reason they hold 20. So it’s not that the folks who paid the extra $1.25 were shortchanged. It’s that the folks who paid for 16 ounces got 25 percent more free.

Which, of course, means that the people who pay extra were being indirectly shortchanged.

As a result, all beer for Saturday’s game between the Seahawks and the Saints will be sold in 20-ounce cups, at the price of a small.

So, as Constanza once told his boss after he quit and then showed up like nothing ever happened and then was fired and then sneaked into a company party and slipped the boss a mickey before being rehired by the boss and then insulted during a toast, “Drink up.”
