Bills running back Fred Jackson was questionable to play against the Chiefs last week because of a groin injury, but was able to do enough to work his way onto the gameday roster.
Jackson is questionable again for Thursday night’s game against the Dolphins and it looks like things are trending in the other direction. According to multiple reports, Jackson is unlikely to be in the lineup for the clash between the two 5-4 AFC East teams.
That shouldn’t change things that much for the Bills in the backfield as Jackson didn’t do much last weekend and Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown handled the backfield duties when Jackson was out of the lineup in Week Eight. Buffalo will need whoever is carrying the ball to have a strong outing because they likely don’t want to have to rely too heavily on Kyle Orton in a game they really need to win to keep their playoff hopes from slipping into the long shot column.
It won’t be easy against a stingy Dolphins defense, but, as Teddy Roosevelt once said, nothing worth having has ever been achieved without effort.
