There has been a murder in Savannah. Allegedly.

Actually, it was in Stone Mountain, allegedly, and the suspect spent three years in the NFL.

Glenn Sharpe, 27, is accused of shooting a man to death on February 2, according to 11alive.com.

Undrafted in 2008 and signed by the Falcons, Sharpe also spent time with the Saints and Colts before exiting the league. He won a Super Bowl ring as a member of the New Orleans practice squad.

Sharpe, who played college football at Miami, is perhaps best known for drawing the delayed pass interference penalty in the national title game against Ohio State to cap the 2002 season. A true freshman at the time, he spent six seasons with the Hurricanes after tearing the ACL is each knee in separate years, 2003 and 2005.
