Uncle Rico is going to be pissed.
With Bucs quarterback Mike Glennon winning the NFL offensive rookie of the month award and now Eagles quarterback Nick Foles securing the NFC offensive player of the month honors, a pair of Napoleon Dynamite doppelgangers have received major consideration from the league.
Foles set a league record for passer rating in a month, with 152.8. In three November games, Foles attempted 72 passes, completed 51 (70.8 percent). He gained 932 yards, and that’s 12.9 yards per attempt.
He also threw for 10 touchdowns, including a record-tying seven in a November 3 game at Oakland.
Foles joins Randall Cunningham, Donovan McNabb, and Mike Vick as the only Eagles players to be named offensive players of the month.
The only good news for Uncle Rico is that neither Glennon nor Foles have demonstrated the ability to throw a football over them mountains.
