A year after getting the first exclusive sit-down with the then-soon-to-be-unretired-for-the-first-time Brett Favre, as he was angling to play for the “Minneapolis” Vikings, Van Susteren has been left in the cold. This time around, Brett will grant his first interview to Joe Buck, appearing on the debut offering of HBO’s Joe Buck Live. According to Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Brett and Buck will renew acquaintances on Monday night. In April 2008, more than three months before the First Annual Brett Favre Unretirement, Favre hinted at the three-ring circus that eventually unfolded during a visit with David Letterman. “I think when training camp gets close, something’s bound to happen,” Favre told Letterman at the time.
