Favre gets completion No. 6,000, touchdown pass No. 492

Vikings quarterback Brett Favre has reached yet another career milestone.

With a first-quarter pass that bounced into the hands of receiver Greg Lewis, Favre racked up his 6,000th completion.

In second place is Dan Marino, with 4,967.

Eventually, Peyton Manning (4,161 in 11 seasons and 12 games) will pass Marino, and Peyton could challenge Favre.

Favre also has extended two of his other all-time records. He threw interception No. 316 and, moments ago, touchdown pass No. 492.

Meanwhile, the Vikings lead the Bengals, 10-0. On the drive, running back Adrian Peterson caught a short pass and sprinted down the left sideline for 28 yards. Amazingly, Peterson resisted the urge to drop his helmet and gain another yard or two, uncharacteristically running out of bounds.

Not uncharacteristically, Peterson never switched the ball from his right hand to his left.
