Former Giants offensive lineman Luke Petitgout has been sentenced to 30 days in jail as a result of an incident involving his estranged wife and a man she was dating.

A Manhattan judge convicted Petitgout of two charges of harassment and sentenced Petitgout to 15 days in jail for each, the New York Daily News reports. Petitgout’s wife and her date accused Petitgout of physically attacking them, although the judge said there was no evidence that he had injured either of them.

Still, the judge said in handing down the sentence that there was a “history of violence and abuse” in the relationship.

Petitgout will also be required to undergo counseling, and an order of protection for his estranged wife has been issued.
