He’s currently not a member of any NFL roster, so the incident won’t reset the “days without an arrest” meter to double zero. Still, to the extent that veteran NFL receiver and tight end Ernest Wilford was hoping to play pro football in 2011, he now may have to aim for the UFL, or lower.

News4Jax.com reports that Wilford was arrested Friday on multiple charges.

Per the arrest report (via News4Jax.com), Wilford allegedly inappropriately touched at least two women at a Jacksonville Beach bar, and he did not leave when asked to do so. Police arrived, and he told them, “I’m not going anywhere.”

Wilford allegedly took pushed one officer in the chest, and two Taser shots were required to bring him down.

He was booked at 4:00 a.m. ET, and he was released on bond at roughly 10:00 a.m. ET.

Wilford began his career in 2004 with the Jaguars. After four seasons in Jacksonville, he signed with the Dolphins, who cut him in early 2009. He returned to the Jaguars, appearing in 15 games that year and two in 2010.

And, yes, we thought about using “Ernest goes to jail” as the headline for this one. But we didn’t.
