Eric Studesville got a taste of life as a head coach, even if it was on an interim basis. The Broncos running backs coach interviewed with Denver about getting the job full time, but the job went to John Fox.
Studesville had to decide whether he could accept going back to his old role. He’s decided to put ego aside and stay with the team as running backs coach again.
Fox announced eight coaching appointments including Studesville on Monday via a press release. Fox confirmed a previous report that Mike McCoy would remain as offensive coordinator.
Fox also named the following six coaches to his staff: tight ends coach Clancy Barone, quality control-offense coach Brian Callahan, offensive line coach Dave Magazu, defensive line coach Wayne Nunnely, quality control-defense coach Jay Rodgers, and wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert.
Six of the hires were on the Broncos staff last year. Tolbert and Magazu were with Fox in Carolina.
