The Rams aren’t exactly reconnecting with their L.A. fan base in an ideal way. Beyond losing seven of their 11 games there.

Via TMZ, Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson said Monday on his radio show that he has been banned from the sideline of Rams games over criticism of the team.

“Someone from upper management called me and said I make the players feel uncomfortable about some of the stuff I say on the radio. . . . They don’t want me on the sidelines. They don’t want me at the games,” Dickerson said.

“Look, I love my football team. I want my team to win. You got the nerve to call me and tell me that crap? . . . These are grown men, these aren’t a bunch of girls. These are grown-ass men. . . .”

Dickerson didn’t disclose the identity of the person who called him.

“If you get fired, you will go someplace else, but I will always be Eric Dickerson of the Los Angeles Rams,” Dickerson told whoever it was that called him. “That’s why I wear that gold jacket. I have the right to say what I want to say.”

If it’s true (the Rams declined comment, but coach Jeff Fisher will be meeting with the media in roughly 90 minutes), it’s a bush league move.

Hopefully saying that won’t get me banned from the sidelines of any Rams games. Not that I would be there anyway.
