They say things come in threes and that’s true of contract extensions for members of the Eagles special teams this week.

Safety and core special teamer Chris Maragos got a new deal on Thursday, long snapper/team magician Jon Dorenbos got one on Friday morning and punter Donnie Jones joined them on Friday afternoon. The team announced that they have agreed on a three-year extension to Jones’ contract that will keep him signed through the 2019 season.

This is Jones’ fourth season with the Eagles after he played for the Rams and Texans earlier in his career. He’s punted 38 times this season for a net average of 39.7 yards, which is right in line with his career average of 39.6 yards.

The Eagles extended kicker Caleb Sturgis’ contract in September, so the foundation pieces of their special teams units are all under contract for several years.
