The Eagles have added one linebacker and parted ways with another.
The club announced Monday it was awarded ex-Buccaneers linebacker Najee Goode on waivers. With Goode arriving, the Eagles have released linebacker Emmanuel Acho, whom they acquired from Cleveland earlier in the offseason.
Goode, 24, appeared in three games for Tampa Bay a season ago. The Buccaneers selected him in the fifth round in 2012.
A West Virginia product, Goode (6-0, 244) likely projects inside in the Eagles’ 3-4 scheme.
Najee Goode’s father, John, is a former NFL tight end who played with Philadelphia in 1985.
