The free agent visit Damian Williams took to Miami has turned into an extended stay.

ESPN.com’s James Walker reports the Dolphins have reached a one-year, $800,000 deal with Williams, a fifth-year wideout from USC who spent his first four seasons with the Titans.

The 25-year-old Williams joins a Miami receiving group with clear-cut starters in Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline. Brandon Gibson and Armon Binns are among the Dolphins’ other WR options.

The 6-foot-1, 193-pound Williams has caught 106 passes for 1,313 yards and five TDs in regular season play. He was one of the Titans’ third-round picks in 2010.
