It did not take long for former Eagles wide receiver Marvin McNutt to find another NFL home. The Dolphins were awarded him on waivers Wednesday, according to the league’s transaction log.
McNutt (6-2, 216) was a 2012 sixth-round pick of the Eagles, who waived him on Tuesday. McNutt will compete for a spot in a Miami receiving corps that is seemingly set at the first three spots (Mike Wallace, Brian Hartline, Brandon Gibson). Rishard Matthews, Armon Binns and Jeff Fuller are among those vying for roles beyond the top three wide receivers.
McNutt appeared in four games last season for the Eagles after being promoted from the practice squad on November 30. The Iowa product turns 24 in July.
