Defensive end Cameron Wake appears set to finish his career with the Dolphins.

Wake and the team have agreed on a new two-year contract extension, the Miami Herald reports. The report says the deal includes $10 million fully guaranteed. Presumably it will lower Wake’s 2016 cap hit, which was scheduled to be $9.8 million.

At 34, Wake may only have a couple more years left in him, so this contract makes it more likely that he’ll remain in Miami for the rest of his career. Wake previously played in the Canadian Football League and spent a few weeks on the Giants’ roster as a rookie, but the Dolphins are the only team for which he’s played in a regular-season NFL game.

Wake’s 2015 season was cut short by a ruptured Achilles tendon, but from all accounts he is making a good recovery and should be good to go for this season. Last year Wake had seven sacks in seven games.
