Derrick Henry can become 8th player to run for 9,000 yards, 80 TDs in eight seasons

Titans running back Derrick Henry is set to hit a milestone in this Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.

Henry is 40 yards away from reaching 9,000 rushing yards for his career. If he picks up those yards, Henry will become the eighth player in NFL history to run for 9,000 yards and 80 touchdowns in their first eight seasons in the league.

“It’s definitely a blessing, to be able to get to that mileage,” Henry said, via the team’s website. “I don’t take it for granted. I am thankful for everyone who helped me get to this point. I’m blessed and thankful to be able to play this game as long as I have and I’m looking forward to Sunday.”

Henry has averaged 105.6 rushing yards a game against the Jaguars over the course of his career, which bodes well for his chances of crossing the 9,000-yard mark and starting to work on becoming the 32nd player in history to run for at least 10,000 yards.
