Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall was in a boot on Tuesday to protect his aching right ankle and the date of his return to the field is up in the air at this point.

An MRI showed that Hall sprained ligaments in his ankle and Tarik El-Bashir of CSNWashington reports that Hall is expected to miss anywhere from “two days to two weeks” while waiting for the ankle to heal. That kind of timeline suggests that Hall’s injury might allow him to play in a game but that the risk of making things worse isn’t worth it at this point of training camp.

“Certain movements, I’m good with,” Hall said. “Certain movements, I can’t put any pressure on it. It’s kind of funky. It’s all kind of new to me.”

Coach Mike Shanahan said that the medical staff doesn’t think it’s a serious injury and tackle Trent Williams gave the same report about the state of his left wrist. Williams aggravated a sprain in the wrist when he fell during Tuesday’s practice and was held out of the rest of the session while icing it. Williams called the injury “nothing,” while Shanahan said the team would check on the tackle’s condition Wednesday.
