Well, one holdout in Philly has ended. But not the one that Eagles fans wish would end.

Guard Danny Watkins, the 23rd overall pick in the draft, will sign his rookie contract tonight, according to Howard Eskin of WIP and NBC 10.

Per Eskin, the deal is worth $7.9 million over four years. Only the first three years will be guaranteed, which means that Watkins’ camp caved on the question of whether the entire deal should be guaranteed.

Earlier today, in an appearance on PFT Live, Eagles president Joe Banner made the case for not guaranteeing all four years. It was clear based on Banner’s comments that the Eagles didn’t plan to cave.

The move boxes in Cameron Jordan, the 24th overall pick, given that pick No. 25 (James Carpenter of the Seahawks) already agreed to a deal with three years of guaranteed money.

Six first-rounders remain unsigned.
