The Texans were embarrassed by the Ravens on Wednesday, with Baltimore finishing the contest with 432 total yards, including 251 yards rushing.
Derrick Henry tallied with 147 yards on the ground while Lamar Jackson had 87 on just four carries.
That led Houston defensive end Danielle Hunter to issue a pointed criticism after the game.
“They’re great football players,” Hunter said, via Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2. “Lamar is a dual threat. Derrick Henry, he’s the best of the best for his position. So I feel like the biggest thing we could do was just game plan better.”
While Hunter noted the Texans’ didn’t have enough energy, he continued to say that preparation was an issue.
“A little bit of game plan better is another thing we can do,” Hunter said. “If we do play against them, the best thing we can do is game plan better.”
As it currently stands, the AFC South champion Texans are likely to host the Steelers in the wild card round next month. But if Houston and Baltimore advance far enough to face one another again, the Texans will surely need to be better in all areas to have a chance to win.
