Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson successfully appeals his beer celebration fine

49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk wasn’t the only player to win his appeal of a fine for pretending to drink a beer as part of an in-game celebration in Week 2.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that tight end Jake Ferguson also prevailed in his appeal. Ferguson had been fined $13,611 for miming chugging a beer after a touchdown in the Cowboys’ win over the Commanders.

Ferguson’s appealed because he said he was mimicking taking a drink from a Gatorade bottle and shared documentation that showed he has done the same celebration on a number of other occasions.

The NFL also fined Colts guard Matt Goncalves for a similar celebration and there’s been no word about the result of his appeal.
