Former Buccaneers guard Arron Sears, who took a leave of absence from the team in 2009 and never returned, is currently facing a felony charge of battery on a police officer.
Sears was supposed to attend a hearing Friday, but was uncooperative according to Stephen Holder of the St. Petersburg Times and police decided to return him to jail.
It’s expected that Sears’ sentence will include treatment for psychiatric issues. He’s twice been ordered a mental health facility by judges.
