With Andrew Luck out of pocket until after the Colts conclude Organized Team Activities and with only three quarterbacks on the roster and with OTAs coming up, the Colts needed a fourth arm.
They have one, in David Legree. The Colts announced that Legree, who started his college career at Syracuse and ended it at Hampton, has agreed to terms. He joins Drew Stanton, Chandler Harnish, and Trevor Vittatoe.
In turn, the Colts have released tight end Brody Eldridge.
Eldridge, a fifth-round pick in 2010, appeared in 27 games with 16 starts over the past two seasons.
Since Eldridge has fewer that four years of accrued service, he’ll be required to pass through waivers.
