For years, some in the NFL assumed that it was only a matter of time before Cleo Lemon would become a regular starting quarterback.
And they were right. Sort of.
The Canadian Press reports that the Toronto Argonauts have named Lemon their starting quarterback.
Lemon beat out Dalton Bell for the job.
During a five-year NFL career, Lemon played for the Chargers, Dolphins, and Jaguars. He started seven games during Miami’s 1-15 season, including the only victory of the year, against the Ravens.
Last year, Lemon spent part of the preseason with the Ravens. He eventually was cut, and he spent the rest of the season out of the league.
