Eagles legend Chuck Bedarik is expected to be released from a Philadelphia hospital later this week, according to his son-in-law.
“His heart’s fine, he didn’t have a stroke, so the doctors don’t want to keep him any longer than they have to,” Ken Safarowic told the Philadelphia Inquirer. “They caught him crawling out of bed.”
Named the No. 35 player of all-time in the NFL Network’s list of the top-100 players for his work as a center and linebacker, Bednarik suffered shortness of breath last week.
