Running back Chuba Hubbard has been a bright spot for the Panthers all season and he had one of his best games of the year against the Cardinals in Week 16.
Hubbard ran 25 times for 152 yards and two touchdowns in a 36-30 overtime win. His first touchdown kicked off the scoring for Carolina and his second was the game-winner. Hubbard sprinted 21 yards for that score and he ran 28 yards on the previous play to set up the scoring jaunt.
The NFL named Hubbard the NFC’s offensive player of the week on Tuesday in recognition of that effort.
Hubbard has already set career highs with 250 carries, 1,195 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns this season. The Panthers signed him to a contract extension earlier this year, so he’ll be back to try to better those numbers while helping the Panthers try for more wins in 2025.
