The Chargers made if official Thursday, activating tight end Hayden Hurst from injured reserve.
Hurst went on injured reserve Nov. 25 with a hip injury. He returned to practice earlier this week with full practices Tuesday and Wednesday.
He joins Will Dissly and Eric Tomlinson at the top of the depth chart.
Hurst played the first seven games, with two starts, and made seven catches for 65 yards. He saw 160 snaps, which was 38 percent of the team’s offensive snaps in the games he played.
The Chargers also elevated cornerback Dicaprio Bootle and safety Kendall Williamson from the practice squad.
Bootle has played five games this season, seeing action on four defensive snaps and 75 on special teams. He has three tackles.
Williamson was elevated for the Chargers’ Week 14 game at Kansas City but did not see any action. He has never appeared in a regular-season game.
