Buccaneers left guard Carl Nicks, tight end Tom Crabtree and fullback Erik Lorig didn’t make the trip to New York and will miss Sunday’s game against the Jets, the club said Saturday.
Nicks (foot) and Crabtree (ankle) were listed as out on Friday’s injury report after missing all week with injuries. Lorig (calf) was a limited practice participant throughout the week and was listed as questionable.
Gabe Carimi will fill in for Nicks at left guard. With Crabtree out, Luke Stocker, Nate Byham and Tim Wright are the Buccaneers’ options at tight end. Lorig is the Buccaneers’ only fullback on the 53-player roster, and they do not have a fullback on the practice squad. However, reserve running back Peyton Hillis does have some experience as a blocking back.
