Cardinals wide receiver Kendrick Bourne had a non-contact injury with 21 seconds left in the first half of the team’s 33-30 overtime win over the Cowboys. He was running a route when he went down and grabbed his right ankle.
Coach Mike LaFleur acknowledged postgame that the injury “did not look good.”
Bourne is still undergoing tests, but LaFleur said Monday that the injury could end Bourne’s season. Bourne intimated on social media that the initial diagnosis was not good, posting, “Pray for me. Hope I get good results today about my ankle.”
Bourne, 31, made one catch for 29 yards against the Cowboys on Sunday and will likely finish his season with 26 receptions for 263 yards.
