The Browns have made an expected roster move with running back Nick Chubb.
Cleveland announced on Wednesday that Chubb has been placed on injured reserve after he suffered a broken foot during the Week 15 loss to the Chiefs.
After returning from the second devastating knee injury of his career, Chubb rushed for 332 yards with three touchdowns in eight games this season. He also caught five passes for 31 yards.
As a corresponding move, the Browns have signed tight end Brenden Bates to the 53-man roster off of the Jets’ practice squad. Bates has appeared in five games this season, playing 26 offensive snaps and 29 special teams snaps.
Cleveland also signed running back Jacob Kibodi to its practice squad and released tight end Cameron Latu from the practice squad.
