The Broncos have made a move to bolster their offensive line.
Veteran guard Shelley Smith has agreed to terms on a two-year contract, the team announced.
Smith signed with the Dolphins a year ago and played in 11 games for them, starting three. He was released last week. Smith previously played for Broncos coach Gary Kubiak in Houston, so he knows the offensive system.
In Denver, Smith will compete with Ben Garland to start at left guard, filling in for the departed Orlando Franklin.
