So much for Peyton Manning and cold weather.

The Broncos quarterback is torching the Chiefs on a frigid night in Kansas City, leading his side to a 17-0 lead.

The latest score was “just” a field goal, and came after a fake punt conversion and a fourth-and-1 conversion, showing that it’s just one of those kind of nights.

Manning has two touchdowns, but the Broncos are again pounding away with C.J. Anderson and their run game (16 carries for 79 yards).

Of course, the Chiefs’ biggest problem at the moment is they can’t move the ball, in any way.

They’ve gone three-and-out on their first three series, and have a grand total of minus-10 yards on those nine plays.

That’s not good, by the way — it’s the fewest yards gained by any team in the league in a quarter this season.

The Broncos are blitzing heavily early, and the Chiefs haven’t picked them up. Now they’re trailing, and can’t operate their offense the way they’d normally prefer.
