Titans head coach Brian Callahan benched quarterback Will Levis after he threw his third interception in Sunday’s loss to the Bengals. But as of Monday, Callahan was not ready to publicly declare who will start the next game for Tennessee.
Callahan said in his Monday press conference that he intends to take the next two days to decide if Levis or Mason Rudolph will be QB1 against the Colts in Week 16.
The head coach added that just because he sat Levis on Sunday, it doesn’t mean things are over for the quarterback with Tennessee.
“He had a bad day,” Callahan said, via Teresa Walker of the Associated Press.
Levis has completed 63.7 percent of his passes this year for 1,916 yards with 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Tennessee is 2-9 in games Levis has started, 3-11 overall.
In his five appearances with three starts, Rudolph has completed 63 percent of his throws for 1,015 yards with six touchdowns and five picks.
