Brett Favre threw his 500th career touchdown pass on Monday night against the Jets, hitting Randy Moss on a beautiful 37-yard bomb in the third quarter.
The Vikings’ offense hasn’t been able to get much going tonight, but the Favre-to-Moss combination looked great for at least one play.
An exuberant Favre sprinted downfield and jumped into Moss’s arms after the touchdown, which gave the Vikings their first points of the game and cut the Jets’ lead to 12-7.
Unfortunately for Minnesota, Jets return man Brad Smith took the ensuing kickoff 86 yards to set up a field goal that made the score 15-7.
